When the recent conflict broke out in Iran, Eurasia workers serving in surrounding countries were urged to evacuate the places they call home on the field.
They found themselves temporarily relocated — scattered across places like Turkey, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and India.
They weren’t planning to share the gospel there.
Not in an apartment building in a new city.
Not in the middle of evacuation.
Not in the uncertainty of conflict.
But God had other plans.
And they didn’t expect how costly this season would become: financially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Presence in the Unexpected
In one apartment building, children from global worker families began playing together in the courtyard. Even in a season marked by fear and uncertainty, laughter filled the air.
Another family was also staying in their building, traveling the world, searching for something more.
Friendships formed. Conversations began. And soon, stories of Jesus were being shared naturally, relationally, just as our workers have always lived.
The father of the family shared, “We have been on a spiritual journey, and I asked ‘God’ before we came here to show me the way. Right after that, all these Christians moved into our building! This can’t be an accident!”
That family gave their lives to Christ. Right there. In the middle of displacement.
The Reality Behind the Story
Behind these moments are families who fled quickly, often with little time to prepare. They left homes, routines, and stability in an instant.
Some experienced missiles overhead. Others were awakened by emergency alerts in the middle of the night. Families waited in airports while threats delayed flights. Children asked questions no parent feels prepared to answer.
Now they are living in temporary housing across multiple countries—while counting the financial cost of:
- Flights for entire families
- Hotels, Airbnbs, and meals
- Ongoing rent and utilities back home
- Additional relocations as the situation continues to shift
Would you give your best gift today to keep Eurasia workers in proximity to the people God has called them to serve?
Because our workers didn’t stop being missionaries when they left their countries. They simply carried the mission with them.
Even now, they are:
- Praying daily together as teams
- Staying connected with local friends back in their countries
- Encouraging one another and growing in unity
- Finding ways to share the gospel wherever they are
They are living out presence and proximity, not tied to a location but lived out with people.
Because the mission has never been about a specific place. It’s about being near enough for the gospel to be seen and heard.
As time passes it is clear that this is not a short-term disruption. And the costs continue to grow. Even in this season of displacement, God is moving. Lives are being changed through community and the gospel is advancing.
But our workers need your support to remain present.
Will you help carry them through this unexpected season?
A gift of $50 helps offset daily living costs.
A gift of $250 supports a family for several days in temporary housing.
A gift of $500 or more helps sustain a worker through this extended season of uncertainty.
He Wastes Nothing
One of our workers shared this simple truth: “God doesn’t waste any experience.”
He does not allow the fear, the disruption, or the waiting to be without purpose. He is using it all—to prepare, to refine, and to reach people who are searching for truth.
And through your partnership, you become part of that story.
They are faithful servants who said “yes” to going — and are now saying “yes” again in a season they never expected. Thank you for giving generously today.
